I have found nothing in FAQ or previous posts on this,
Hope it is the right group to ask.

Windows XP pro

A problem with drag and drop.
On certain occasions, when I attempt to drag-and-drop
folders, I have peculiar problems. I have not been able to
figure out when this will occur, and when it will not. It
has occured in the past when a transfer from one disc to
another was attempted, but this was a transfer within a
disc.

Today I attempted to move a large folder from MD to C:\
using drag-and-drop in explorer. All of the folders and
files contained in the original folder simply disappeared.
A folder was created on the c:\, but is shown as empty.
The folder and all contained files and folders that were in
MD are gone. Numerous searches for the files or folders
contained in the original folder are negative.
Is there some way I can recover these files and folders? I
simply cannot find them, and I know they must be somewhere.
Using copy/paste works properly for these transfers, but in
this case I did not use it.

Also, how do I get rid of the now inaccessble and empty
folder that was created? It gives an error screen that it
is inaccessable
I suspect a possible NTFS permissions problem, but have
found nothing.
If this is the incorrect group, would some kind person help
with a recommendation.
Thanks Leonard
