Hello..

Can somebody help. This issue has been driving me nuts

I have two machines A and B connected through a wireless network
setup(linksys). Both computers were seeing each other and working fine until
last week. This week suddenly, machine B cannot see machine anymore, access
its shares or anything. The only thing I can do is ping from machine B to
machine A. But machine A still continues to see machine B, access everything
and do fine. Both machines are running windows XP professional. Machine A is
a Dell laptop and Machine B is a Dell Desktop.

Here is the error I get when I try to access a network share in machine A
from machine B.

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at
this computer

I have searched Microsoft knowledge base, could not find any solution that
will work. There was few suggestions regarding changing digital signing
security check and adding users to terminal services. I have tried all none
works. Also, I have logged on as the same username/password on both machine.
The user is a administrator on both machines and listed to access the other
machine.

Please help as soon as possible, Thanks in advance

Vijay

Did you change any of the User Rights or Security Options in your Local
Security Policy around the time this stopped working? Make sure the user
you are attempting to use has been granted the Network and Interactive logon
privileges on machine A.
