This post is a follow on to a request for help on a windowsXP repair
question I made on the16/11/03 which was answered Rick
\"Nutcase\"Rogers to whom many thanks. The reason this reply took so
long is I first installed another hard drive and also Drive Image 7. After
backing up Windows to Drive Image I did the repairs as instructed. On
restarting I still could not access either the system restore or the recycle
bin. Also my web connection no longer worked, network connections
came up blank but device manager showed the modem was working
correctly.
So I reinstalled windows from the backup. The web connection was re-
established, when I clicked on the recycle bin a message came up that
the bin was corrupted and did I want to empty it. I clicked yes and the
recycle bin is now working, also system restore is now ok. So I eventually
got the result I wanted but not by the way I was expecting.
Again many thanks.
