View Full Version : How do I remove old backup files?

January 6th 04, 01:56 AM
Hi,
I installed Windows XP Professional and have made system
backups (.bkf files) I created using ASR along the way as
Microsoft recommends. These backup files were made with
the ASR wizard and have a floppy disk associated with
each. The files are stored on my C drive in 'My
Documents' in a folder I created for them. I have now
completed installing all hardware and software and the
system is running perfectly. Since the backup files take
up so much disk space the older ones need to be removed /
delete before I consider my installation complete.
However, I can find no information on removing old ASR
backup .bkf files from my system in either Windows Help
or Microsoft knowledge base support. How do I do this?
Thanks, Mike

Just delete them as you would any file.
