I recently acquired a Toshiba 2100CDS laptop with Windows
XP Professional at a garage sale. I do not know the
administrator (or any other user) passwork, and so cannot
log onto windows. How can I log onto this computer? Are
there standard or default passwords for windows XP
administrator users that I can try?
I do not have the Windows XP disks--only the computer,
which I was told came bundled with XP and the seller had
no other disks.

Hi
How to Log On to Windows XP If You Forget Your Password or Your Password
Expires

If that doesn't work out, you might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:

easy.
go in through safe mode (hold F6 at startup?)
this bypasses the log in screen.
you can then make yourself an account
