Hello;
Windows XP Home.
From Dr Watson Help on my machine:
[Dr. Watson can be made to generate more exacting information for debugging purposes if
the
appropriate symbols are installed and the symbol search path is set. To do this, you first
need to
copy the symbols from the Windows CD-ROM into a new folder on your computer. Then you need
to create a new system environment variable. First, go to the systemroot folder on your
computer and
create a new folder named Symbols. Next, go to the CD under \\Support\Debug\i386 and copy
the
symbols to the Symbols folder that you created on your computer.]

Well, I created C:\WINDOWS\Symbols and then I went to the next step.
Support\Debug\i386 does not exist on my XP Home CD! Let alone the symbols. Where do I
get
the symbols? And why aren't they on my CD. The Help file was obviously on the CD.

From my C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr
Watson\drwtsn32.log

function: <nosymbols>
