Firewall

I want to set up XP firewall but when I open Network
Connections, nothing is shown even though I do have a dial-
up connection set up.

Via Control Panel, Internet Options, Connection, I used
Add, set up a connection, gave it the same name as the one
I know exists and was told that another connection already
has that name.

Why can I not see the connection in Network Connections?
I am the Administrator of the system; Windows Explorer,
Tools, Folder Options has everything checked to show
hidden files etc.
