I need to repair the registry in my XP. DAMHIDTB (Don't
ask me how I deleted the branch) to repair some missing
branches.
What warnigs shoul I be aware of?
Thanks
Or is there another way of restoring a registry w/o
reinstalling?

Hi Hal,
If you are getting an error with missing System or Software, you can use
your CD and boot from it. Choose Repair and go to the recovery console.
You can rename system or Software in the windows\system32\config directory
and copy system or software from the Windows\Repair\Regback
directory to windows\system32\config. If there is not a regback directory
copy the file from the Windows\repair directory. Exit the Recovery Console
and reboot. Note that you will have to reinstall software or hardware after
this process.
