Older systems would allow you to delete shelliconcache
when it became corrupted to rebuild the desktop icons.
In XP I cannot find shelliconcache, or the method to
rebuild all of the desktop icons has changed.
I have experienced some level of desktop curuption (using
XP SP1) where desktop icons are "disapearing".
I would like to rebuild this, any suggestions?
Thanks to all.

Can I just delete the IconCache.db file and reboot so that a new file will
be rebuilt? Also is there a default size for this file? Can it be
increased similar to that in windows 98 (I have a lot of folders on my
desktop)?? Thanks for any help, Sam.
