Select login or logoff options

For some reason, i cannot change the "Select login or
logoff options" in the User Accounts in Control Panel in
Windows XP Home Edition. Everytime i click on "Change the
way users log on or off" in User Accounts, i get this
error massage sayin' "ClassFactory cannot supply
requested class". Why does this occur?

No. I don't have any gateway softwares installed on my
Compaq Presario 6000 PC.
