How do i uninstall directx 9.0 when it's not located in
add or remove programs but it's listed in the DXDIAG
folder. I need to install directx 8.0 or 8.1 to be
compatible with my radeon 9100 video card. any help would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks, AZJEEP.

You cannot uninstall directx 9.0

DirectX 9.0 should work just fine with the radeon 9100.

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card? You can't uninstall
directx.

Hi,
You can't uninstall DirectX 9.0 from add or remove program.Radeon 9100
video card works fine with DirectX 9.0.
There are third party softwares which claim that they can roll back
DirectX 9.0 to 8.0/8.1 version.But I don't know how good they are.

Greetings --

As has always been the case, there is no supported means
uninstalling this, or any version, of DirectX. Do as you were warned
to do on the web site from which you downloaded DirectX9: perform a
system restoration using the restore point you created before
downloading and installing the DirectX 9. This will also restore your
original DirectX 8.1 files, which are incorporated into WinXP.
