I have 4 users who have no local accounts on XP-Pro
workstations and are setup as follows.
Accounts in AD Power users with admin rights to local
machine.
Some programs do not run specificaly quickbooks, I tried
giving them AD admin rights still no luck even with
Domain admin rights.
quickbooks reports users do not have sufficent rights to
run application.
Where else can I look to get this issue fixed.
Thank you

More information is needed. What sorts of error messages are you seeing?
Are there any errors in the event logs? Is the program licensed correctly?
Have you checked out Intuit's support pages for information?

There are no errors anywhere other than when you launch
quickbooks it pops up an error saying "you do not have
sufficient rights to run this application please contact
your network administrator.
Like I mentioned before I even tested making these users
part of the local admin group with rights to the
computer, and domain admin.
I went and looked at the properties of the intuit folder
and users, Administrators, and Domain admins show listed.
I could not find anything in their website.
thanks Xavier
Here is another fact, this domain server had to be
replaced so a new one was created, in the old domain
server non of the users had accounts only the computers
when I went to each computer non except 1 had any users
created localy.
Don't ask me how or why, I didn't create the first server
the owner had a client who sells computers set it up for
him, I came in later as a friend to help him redo it
cause the other one was way to slow (MS minimum
requierments P166 with 64mb ram) I setup a new server
P4-2.8 with 512mb ram and 200mb drive, I have setup many
servers with AD but never seen a network where all users
exist only on one computer a workstation but not on the
others or the server.

Contact Intuit. They make some really cruddy, poorly documented products.

If the only domain controller was replaced by not having=20
two domain controllers temporarily, then you have defined=20
a new domain, even if it has the same old name.=20
If there are no users when you examine the AD Users and=20
Computers of the domain, then there are no domain user=20
accounts (as when an old domain is trashed and then rebuilt).
In that case you need to redefine what is needed, and likely=20
should disjoin/rejoin the client machines.
Have you tried defining a local user account that is a local=20
admin (other than the Administrator) to see if it can run the=20
Quickbooks app ? This narrows the issue, since any admin=20
(whether local account of via domain group membership in=20
local Administrators) should be treated the same by a well=20
behaved app. And, BTW, Quickbooks is not a well-behaved=20
app but rather seems to be one of those that believes that=20
taking a DOSish downlevel WinOS app and installing it=20
in an uplevel Windows is all that should be needed on the=20
part of the app developers.

Well after trying many things I decided to remove
quickbooks, disjoin the domain then redo it all and now
it is working, one guess I have is who ever did this
before did not install the apps as admin.
