I formated my C: drive, and then did a clean installation
of windows xp. The installation went fine, but there is
still a small problem. I have not installed any programs
in windows yet, so I am kind of stumped. Not everytime,
but probably every 2 - 3 times that I restart my
computer, it will freeze on a black screen with only the
mouse present after the windows logo screen. I cannot
press ctrl alt del to restart the computer, instead I
must hit the power button and shut it down. Does anyone
have any advice?

Ryan, you may want to check your Power Supply voltages. Go here and
download Motherboard Monitor. It will check
your 3, 5 and 12v. If the voltages are dipping too low especially the 5v,
that maybe your problem.
