I'm running Windows XP Pro. When you open "My Computer" in
an explorer window, you will find your hard drive, cd
drive, My Shared Folder, etc. You will also find on the
left hand side of the screen a menu (System Tasks, Other
Places, Details, etc). My "Shared Folder" (which is a
system folder and you can't right click it to rename it)
was automatically renamed to "Documents". See the graphic
at this link:

Is there a way to rename the shared folder or the link to
the shared folder in the Other Places Bar?

Thanks,
Arthur

Arthur;
Go here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm
Click the "F" and scroll down to: Folder Backgrounds - Customizing
Added Note: Question: One of my special folders (e.g. My Documents, My Music, My Pictures, Shared
Documents, etc) has lost its name, lost its icon, or has the wrong Task Pane template, how can I get
it back?

Hope this helps. Let us know.
