system freeze when rebooting

Whenever I choose to REBOOT Windows XP professional, the
system freezes at the login screen. (Every time)! I have
to press reset button and then it will boot just fine. If
I do a complete shutdown instead of a reboot, every thing
again is just fine. I am running athlon 2100+, with 512mb
2700 DDR, on a MSI K7N2 (MS-6570) Motherboard. I
currently have another identical seytem that does not
have the same issue.

do you have different harware in this machine than the other?
Try removing hardware modems, network card etc

The 2 systems are running identical MB, Ram, HD, Video=20
Cards. They do have different CD R and CD RW. I have=20
checked the event viewer and have found the following 3=20
errors every time I have done a "Reboot"
