View Full Version : shutdown problems - hiddenfaxwindow & elplorer.exe
I have Win XP Pro installed on a Pentium 4 machine with
384 MB Ram. Everything seems to work excpet occasionally
Shutdown will hang up. The pop-up window says it cannot
close EXPLORER.EXE. After the count down bar ends, I
click close. The next pop-up says it cannot close
HiddenFaxWindow. No exe or dll, just that name. After
the countdown bar ends, I click close. The final pop-up
window again says it cannot cloose EXPLORER.EXE. When the
countdown bar ends, I click close and it finally closes
down.
I have no idea what program is generating the
HiddenFaxWindow error, since the Task Manager does not
list any as running at that time.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim Dunn
