View Full Version : Log on Domain

I wanted to network my laptop to my pc so that I could
back up some files from my pc to my laptop. My laptop
was set up with a domain instead of a workgroup. I
changed it to a workgroup so that I could connect my
computers. It said I had to restart so I did but now I
cannot log in. I get this logon message: "The system
could not log you on. Make sure your user name and
domain are correct, then type your password again.
Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct
case." I am thinking that since I made a workgroup and
unchecked the domain, the domain is not active, but I am
still trying to log in to it. Any help would be greatly
appreciated as I need to be able to log in.

Since you removed you machine from the Domain the only accounts that are now
active on the PC are the local Administrator account.
