Hi All!

I have posted this problem before and not received a response - but the
problem continues despite my best efforts... and thus I go fishing again..

I have a P3 Epox motherboard and recently installed a Seagate Barracuda 80
GB hard drive (7200.7 - ST380011A). My motherboard doesn't recognise the
drive at 80GB so I had to change the jumpers to limit the drive to 32GB (as
Primary Slave).

I then partitioned the drive into a FAT32 partition for data files and an
EXT3 partition for RedHat Linux. I have WinXP Pro on another drive -
Primary Master.

My problem is that the drive isn't 'remounted' on boot - I have to go to the
hardware wizard to get XP to re-detect the drive.

How might I correct this?

Thanks for any advice!

Rob

Robert, try moving the drive as Master on the Secondary IDE channel.
