I just recently bought a used computer and I can't get
around the logon screen due to the previous user and they
can't remember it either. Can anyone tell me how to get
around the logon screen so I can get to windows? Thanks
for the help...

So in essence you just spent a bit of money on something you can not =
use???
Try starting in safe mode and hopefully they did not put a password on =
the default administrator account, from there you can change/create new =
passwords or accounts

They must have set the admin password. Tried the ctl-alt-
del method...no go. Do you have any more ideas for XP

Here are other options:

http://www.sunbelt-software.com/product.cfm?id=3D265&affid=3Dwxpnews
After this is resolved, take precautions to not lose the password.
