during the middle of last week we found that there were a
bunch of new shortcuts on our desktop to web directory
sites and that a couple of new toolbars had installed
themselves on our explorer browser.

- firstly it's pretty disturbing that my operating system
security could be breached so easily - has anyone else
had this experience?

- how can i get rid of unwanted toolbars completely? i
know how to unselect them but i want them gone for good.

- now whenever i open explorer it goes to my home page
but seems to route through this other site first.
basically i want to purge all aspects of this thing from
my browser and operating system. any ideas on how to do
this are very welcome - i would like to track down the
company that did this as well.

the website it routes through (and leaves a small window
for searching their websites at the bottom of my
browser) is http://v4720.ecpm.com

the 2 extra toolbars are called Xupiter and pressrieust

Scott;
You have spyware on your computer.
Try this link "How do I uninstall one of your software products?":
DO NOT CLICK "Accept", "OK", "Yes" etc on any other boxes that may
come up.

Run Ad-Aware (free version) or Spybot to check for spyware:

Or
