firewall poss

i have just got this laptop and i have loaded on my usual
stuff i use Yahoo etc. i have found i cannot get into
some of the chatrooms i could before the list doesnt come
up but it does on my old desktop. Also i play online
roulette with Ritz@london and it wont let me do this
either on here. what is blocking me ? is it a firwall or
do i have to adjust something?
