I purchased the Student / Teachers edition of Office XP
and I am nt able to use it on both my home computer and
computer at school??? I can't afford to but another one
and I need Excel on both computers to get my stuff done.
I have the box with all of the numbers, even the receipt
somewhere. Since I was not able to activate it on both
computers, mt home computer has not locked me out of the
program and I am not getting anything done. Do I need to
keep reinstalling it? It doesn't seem right that I would
have to buy a program for each computer. Please advise.

Greetings --

The Academic License is specifically limited to a single
installation. This is one of the reasons it costs so much less than a
retail license. Had you purchased a retail license, you would have
been permitted to install it on one desktop PC and one portable
computer simultaneously. When purchasing a software license, it's
important to ensure that the product will meet your needs _before_
making the purchase. This is the same common sense rule that applies
to purchasing shoes: make sure they fit, first.

And almost all software licensing requires that you purchase a
license for each computer on which the software is to be installed.
When you purchase and pay for a single television, does the merchant
let you leave the store with 2 TVs? I certainly hope you're not
studying/teaching either mathematics, economics, or copyright law.
