CD-DVD

I need to add a cd-dvd to my computer or somthig simlar.I
bourght a game for my son,once the game was loaded the
speach crackles,I don't think this computer has a built
in CD-DVD I'm sure this is the cause of the crackled
speach.the speakers are connected properly and have been
checked by using other discs and checking the sound.I
would be grateful if you would forward any infomation
that would be helpful. many thanks Phil Walton.

Hi Phil,

There are CD Player/Burners and DVD Player/Burners and combined CD/DVD
Player/Burners. If you need any of the above, you will need to purchase
them. The above are hardware, not software.

Your sound issues are not related to your not owning the above mentioned.
If the game in question is on a CD, then you own and have a CD Rom installed
(to my knowledge all systems come with a CD Rom installed). If not, where
and how did you install the game? Via the net?
