security updates "US"

I have seen some security updates which have "US" behind
them, presumably United States. Are those updates strictly
for users in the united states ore should I be downloading
and installing them on my computer in the UK

Can you provide a link to an example ?
I do not recall having seen this, so perhaps it is=20
something done only for you, such as to distinguish=20
US english from UK english (?)
