Everything works properly! XP Pro is robust and never collapses - apps.
never collapse or fail to release memory / no diminishing resources - no
sign of an invalid page fault or bsod. It's been like this for months
.....except for that one occasion, a few weeks ago, when MS did tried to
upset it all with 2 driver updates (graphics card and sound) via "Windows
Update," but, I suppose that was partly my fault for being lazy and
trusting that Windows update would do for me - just because it was on offer
I took it !

Considering all this, I must be doing something wrong.

.....while I'm rambling on and on, I noticed that nobody cared to throw any
light on my friends PC and his cordless kb and mouse :-)

regards, Richard
