Hmmm... If you open the Explorer in XP, click on the Help
menu, and select Help and Support Center, then type
"emm386.exe" in the Search line prompt, you'll see that the
function is now inherent, meaning that whatever your
program does to explicitly invoke emm386.exe is causing the
problem because emm386.exe no longer exists. Whatever it
did under 98, it now does implicitly. Without knowing more
about your program, it seems that references to emm386.exe
should be excised.
