This was a new load right from Gateway. All I did was a
system restore about 2 months after I bought it.

OK - so Gateway chose to use WINNT as the installation folder - this is not
an issue.
Other then doing a complete reinstallation your self you cannot change this.
It does not effect the ability of the operating system or software to run.
