Not to my knowledge. You *might* be able to use a driver for a different
brand of scanner, if yours is close enough to it under the hood. . But,
some hardware simply won't work with XP, especially if the vendor has not
produced an XP driver.

What is the scanner, and what driver are you trying to use?

You install the driver first (it should come with an application to do
that), THEN connect the device at the point in the process it is
looking for the hardware.

To locate drivers, do a Google on for the keywords enter your
USB Scanner model # and the word Drivers.
e.g. Km38d1 Drivers

This should lead you to links that may help. Please note that
many peripherals do not have Windows 2000/XP drivers. If
that is the case, you are going to excessive lengths to get a older
device to work. In the long run, it is cheaper and much less of
a hassle to simply go to Best Buy and get a new/modern scanner.

Even if you get drivers, you are not going to have the interface
software for button control, etc. You are going to be limited to
the built-in Windows Image Acquisition software.
