When I installed Windows XP Professional on my PC, I set up my Administrator
account as "Peter L. Salee". This results in a path to "My Documents"
folder of "C:\Documents and Settings\Peter L. Salee\My Documents". Well it
now turns out that a program that I like to use can not deal with periods
"." in the path to where its data resides, in my case, in "My Documents".

I have already renamed my Admin account from "Peter L. Salee" to "Peter
Salee", and I have attempted to rename my account folder that appears under
the Documents and Settings folder from "Peter L. Salee" to "Peter Salee".
This of course fails, sometimes displaying a message saying that I can not
rename system folders, and sometimes simply going back to the old name.

My question is how can I rename my account folder "Peter L. Salee" to "Peter
Salee" thereby removing the period from the path?
