All of a sudden, my fully updated Windows XP Pro SP1
machine ignores when it was shut down in hibernation mode.
It reacts as if everything is okay when I tell it to
hibernate, i.e., it says "Hibernating..." and shuts down
and all, but when I turn the power on again, it boots
normally, completely ignoring the hibernation state. It
used to work beautifully.
It's possible that this happened after I reset my CMOS
data. Is there anything in there that could cause this
behavior?
How can I investigate the matter further?
My rig is:
Gigabyte GA-8KNXP 875P
P4 3GB/800
1GB PC3500 Dual DDR
2 IBM 60GB IDE/ATA disks in GigaRAID RAID-0 array.
Excalibur Radeon 9800 XT 256MB
Terratech DMX XFire 1024
Thank you,
