This past weekend i upgraded my home pc from Windows ME to
Windows XP (home edition). When i reinstalled my Norton
2003 System Works and Firewall (both XP home/pro
compatible), i couldn't activate either one. When i tried
to access the Norton Firewall options, i got a message
saying "You need Supervisor access to change these
settings". What? For my home pc? Anyway, i tried many of
the things Microsoft's website suggested, like clean
booting my pc and reinstalling the software, and making
sure the XP firewall was inactive while i installed the
software....nothing worked. I'm still getting the same
error.
What's the problem?

Shawn;
Are you installing using a profile with Administrator access?
Otherwise you could try reinstalling and/or contacting Norton at the
website:
www.symantec.com
