I found this article on the Web:Use Access Control to
Restrict Who Can Use Files. This was in the XP Home path
on the microsoft.com site.

I have tried to set permissions for folders that are
shared but I can't find the permissions tab. At the end
of the Microsoft article it says this:
To display the Security tab

Open Folder Options in Control Panel. (Click Start, click
Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then
click Folder Options.)

On the View tab, under Advanced settings, clear Use
simple file sharing [Recommended].

I don't have the use simple file sharing choice. I ahve
installed all the components from the XP disk.

Please HELP

Thanks

Simple sharing mode cannot be shut off in Home edition.
Instead, use a Safe Mode (F8) boot, and the Security dialog=20
will be in the Properties sheet of NTFS objects.
