Window XP Home Edition Firewall

I need some info. on how to disable the XP Firewall, before
I install the Norton Personal Firewall 2003. According to
the instructions, it must be disabled before the NPF 2003
is installed. Where can I check on this to BE SURE that it
is disabled. This 1 year "Newbie" sure could use your
