AOA,
I recently installed winxp sp1, but then I had to repair windows (to
restore the original files) because sp1 slowed down my system. Now
however I'm faced with a problem. I can't connect to the internet
using my dialup accounts. (they simply aren't visble). A little
investigation revealed that the remote access service isn't starting.
The error returned is "Access is denied" (I'm using the Admin
account). Can anyone help repair this problem??

Start / run services.msc
go into the properties of the service=20
and examine its list of dependencies
make certain that any needed prereq=20
service is not disabled

Wel I'd tried that already but I confirmed again. It doesn't bust.
