When I open Microsoft Internet Explorer every time a ton
of pops-ups come up and sometimes they download and
install programs. Two of them keep getting downloaded:
Clock Sync and Weather Cast. Is there some way to stop
this from happening. Also is there a way in Internet
Explorer to stop pop-ups all together. Thanks

Sounds like you got ad delivery program installed at some point that is
delivering those ads to your computer and installing those programs. This
can happen along with other software you installed (common with peer to peer
apps, among others), or by clicking "yes" to an install prompt from some web
pages. There are lots of sites with information out there that will help
you figure out which ad programs/spyware you have (if any) and remove them.
Try searching at google.com for "spyware removal".
Some sites even provide downloads to help you remove the ad delivery
programs (Ad Aware is one such popular download). Note that removing the ad
program without removing the app that installed it may violate the user
agreement for that original program, so make sure you check on that.
As always, if you download a program from the internet to help you get rid
of the ad programs, be sure to virus scan it (with updated virus
definitions!), and do some research on the program first to make sure it is
legitimate. You wouldn't want to accidentally make things worse while you
were trying to make them better. Post back to the group if you have any
more questions or problems.
