To all,
I'm not sure, but I think I am having a problem with Automatic Update
Notification, as well as the Installed History of Windows Updates. I
say I am not sure because I "postponed" the install of an item that had
come up under the Automatic Update tray icon for one day. It has not
shown back up. Additionally, when I now look at the installation
history (online Windows Update). It is showing that the last critical
update I installed was back in October. I believe I've installed some
since then. In fact, one says it failed (according to the history, but
I see the KB8**** file in the Windows directory. I thought I
remembered reading about a file that can be erased, and then regenerated
when Windows Update examines the system. When I check the running
tasks, I do see the Automatic Update running... Thanks in advance for
any pointers or help.
