I don't know if this has been covered as a possible/known cause for
shutdown problems, but after a week of testing and uninstalling/reinstalling
everything under the sun on this bloody new machine, I have found the cause
to my frequent shutdowns and restart not restarting.
The Intel Active Monitor software that keeps track of the fan speeds,
temps, etc. was the problem. Once uninstalled probelms begone!!
I know better, so I smack myself upside the head for installing to many
apps from the get go which makes it way to hard to track down a problem. I
wouldn't have spent a week on this if I had installed 1 app at a time per 2
days so it could be monitored to see if it caused problems.
Just figured I'd let others know of this potential software problem.
