I keep getting this message after my system has been up
for awhile. If I reboot and check event log everything
is Ok, but after awhile I get this. I have checked all
my TCP/IP setting and nslookup and all is OK, yet I keep
getting this error. I have as W2K DC and other XP
clients that don't get this problem. This system is XP
Prossional with all the current sp's. Its a fairly
recent install as I built a new system. I have an
integrated NIC, but the same thing happened when I change
to a wireless NIC.

Here's the error:
No Domain Controller is available for domain BLUEBIRD due
to the following:

System Error 5719
The RPC server is unavailable. .
Make sure that the computer is connected to the network
and try again. If the problem persists, please contact
your domain administrator.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Application Error
Event ID 1054
Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your
computer network. (A socket operation was attempted to an
unreachable host. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

You're help is appreciated.

Thanks

John
