Hi, I have two hard drives and I placed all my important information on
the slave drive (I believed). Then I unpluged the cable and electricity
cable for the slave drive before I formatted my master drive. After I
reinstalled windows xp and plugged back the second hard drvie, the windows
is not able to recognize it under "my computer". When I checked the
computer management, the slave hard drive is there, but it is considered
Disk 1, Dynamic and Foregin. I don't how to go from there and please give
advice on how to retreat information from my second drive.. So that from the
icon" My Computer", I could get back my second hard drive and get back my
old information. Thanks a lot

How was this drive originally set up? If with a drive overlay (setup
software that often comes with new drives), then you need to reinstall this
software.

I bought the second hard drive from a computer show without any software, then I used the Disk Management to format my computer. The problem is the computer treated my second hard drive as a foreign and it is under dynamic mode. All it let do was to conv
ert it to a basic disc which lost everything. That is exactly what I don't want to and I am trying to retreat info from second hard drive. Please give advice. and how do people normally retreat information from the second hard drive after they formatted
the master hard drive? Your response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

XP Pro can read Dynamic disks. Did you install XP Pro or XP Home! If
XP Home then you must install XP Pro to regain access to your hard
disk. Otherwise you need to make sure the you try the Rescan Disks or
Refresh options on Action menu.
