outlook express problem that I cannot seem to get a answer to.

I have a person who installed xp pro on a 98 machine.
Now outlook express works fine, except that when you try
to create mail or go to options the compose it comes up
with a window and says error and closes outlook. Have
tried to reinstall outlook but it still does the same
thing.

Disable Background Compacting and run a manual compact of all OE folders
while "working offline". Do so often. More at
