View Full Version : Administrator equivalent can not install applications

I had an XP Pro machine SP1 installed in a domain. I
replaced the lone NT4 PDC with a Win2k DC. I went into
computer properties on the XP ws and selected join a
domain w/o demoting to workgroup. After that point I lost
most profiles. I copied profiles thru \documents and
settings. Now, even though the user profile states the
user is an administrator to the local machine I still can
not install applications.

I tried demoting to workgroup and re-joining the domain.
I even tried to make the user a temporary domain
administrator. No luck.

Help?
