System Information does not display any information at
all since uninstalling Roxio Easy CD Creator 5. Easy CD
Creator 6 is installed and working flawlessly. How can I
repair or replace the registry files that appear to be
preventing the necessary programs and/or services from
executing as before to provide this information?

At a cmd prompt when you enter=20
echo %path%=20
does the output contain C:\WINDOWS\system32\WBEM
Normally the path should begin=20
C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\system32 \WBEM;
(assuming install is to C:)
You can correct this in the Properties of My Computer=20
by clicking Environment Variable on Advanced tab.

Yes. However the WBEM is Wbem -is that significant?
Also it also contains C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio
Shared\DLLShared
....Now what say you of fixing this in System Properties?
Thanks

Could you provide some assistance as to how I might fix
this problem in Environment Variable in My Computer. I
don't quite see what to fix, if this will truly solve
this issue.
Thanks in advance...

If C:\WINDOWS\system32\WBEM (or Wbem, etc. with=20
c: adjusted to actual drive) is already in the path then this=20
is not your cause.
Is anything other than System Properties not working for=20
you ? Is anything being written into the event logs when=20
you try this ?

This is the only problem I have noticed, I don't believe
anything else is having a problem.
I am getting an error now Unable to start a DCOM
server "Access Denied" while starting command
C:\WINDOWS\System32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe -Embedding
and now an error The driver detected a controller error
on \Device|Scsi\aic78xx1 but I just started using a Scsi
cdrw that I don't usually use a lot.
Any suggestions? How would I go about having someone
have a look via remote access?
Thanks
Steve
