I need to be able to reset people's passwords from my desk
preferably without using Remote Access software on the
servers. I have seen Windows XP terminals with Active
Directory install which allows them to view the active
directory of the entire organization how do I get this on
Windows XP?

You use the Adminpak.msi from Windows Server 2003 - available from the
download site
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c16ae515-c8f4-47ef-a1e4-a8dcbacff8e3&DisplayLang=en
and then right click and select Install
This will insatll all the AD and other admin tools to your Windows XP
desktop machine

Those tools come from installing adminpak.msi which=20
you may search out at microsoft.com/downloads
Be aware that resetting a password will break the=20
account's ability to access anything it has EFS encrypted.=20
This is a security feature in XP, by design. Instead you=20
should inform your users to make password recovery=20
disksettes.
