Your correct about XP firewall does not control outgoing
transmission. However you do not need to replace the XP
default firewall. You can add a Personal firewall, like
Zone alarm or Tiny Personal firewall. And you don't have
to be a computer expert to run this. These firewall I
mention are fairly easy to use. It let's you know which
program are trying to access the internet. So you have an
idea what programs you allowed and denied.
