Hello, earlier I had some trouble with getting windows xp
to load up automatically. Someone informed me to make
the changes outlined below. I am just looking for a bit
of confirmation that I can make the changes he outlined
so I don't screw things up.
I checked out my boot.ini file and it is:
[Boot Loader]
timeout=5
default=C:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT
[Operating Systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft
Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect
C:\ = "Microsoft Windows"
C:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT = "Windows XP
Installation/Upgrade"
Now I noticed my timeout is 5 where I was suggested to
make it 30. Is this important, and what difference does
it make? Then, I am guessing I have to change the
default line to look the one below this message, as well
as omit the last two command lines in my file. Is that
all correct? :) I just don't want to screw up again :)
