ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS

Using Windows XP Home Edition and you open up under the
control panel the "Add or Remove Programs", it populates
itself with all the installed programs. However, the
list that I am getting contains programs that have been
previously removed. How can I remove those unwanted
items from this populated list?

Click on them.
There will most likely be an error and it will ask if you wish to
remove the entry from Add/Remove Programs.
Otherwise follow through with the uninstall.
