Restore Discs, need information!

Hi
If I reinstall a new Hard Drive onto my Compaq Presario
laptop, can I use my previous QuickRestore CD's to load up
my XP and factory preinstalled software?
I wondered if it mattered, or will I need a totally new set
of CD's to load things up back to normal?

Please any and all information will be very much appreciated!
