CD autorun or autoplay no longer works

Hoping someone can help ...

I *had* a DVD player and a CD burner and when I inserted a CD into either
the autorun functionality worked perfectly. In the past 2 weeks I have
replace both of these with a combined DVD/CD burner/player and when I insert
an application CD autorun does not work and when I insert an audio CD it no
longer autoplays. I installed some Roxio software with the drive so that may
be the problem?

Any ideas? Is there an easy way to get autorun/autoplay to function again.
