cannot access shared folders on XP system

The share worked prior to upgrading from W2K to XP Pro.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled file and printer
sharing, reset permissions, etc., etc. But, I cannot
access the XP system from the W98 system.

I can ping from the W98 system. But, I still get the
error saying that the XP system is not accessible.
