I am having difficulties setting up file permissions between my
computer (Windows 2000) and a new XP computer on my network (peer to
peer.) I am trying to give this XP user full control over one of my
files located on my shared drive. (The rest of the files on that
drive are read only.)
I have added this new computer to my users list and made it a power
user as well as a normal user. I have set the file permissions on the
file to allow this user and all power users full control over that
file. However, when I go to that particular XP machine, this file is
still showing up as read only.
I'm stumped right now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
